May 2025: season launch, environmental commitment & arrival of Samba!

The month of May brought great momentum to AMC Cape Grace.

New season, new faces, new ship... and the same goal: to offer unique experiences at sea, while affirming our commitment to preserving the coastline.

Between the arrival of the crews , environmental training alongside FNE PACA and the launch of Samba , our latest generation catamaran, a whole season is beginning with energy, commitment and passion .

⚓ The arrival of the AMC Cape Grace teams

In early May, 30 crew members—spread across our five ships—joined the AMC Cape Grace adventure. Upon their arrival, a week of operational training provided the opportunity to share best practices in hospitality, safety, and service, as well as environmental awareness , which are at the heart of our values.

👉 FNE PACA training: raising crew awareness about coastal protection

As part of its commitment to sustainable maritime tourism , AMC Cape Grace organized a unique environmental training session on May 6, 2025 , in partnership with France Nature Environnement Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur . Open to all crews , this session was led by three experts from the FNE PACA Sea Network:

• Benjamin Kabouche , coordinator of the Mer network

• Frédéric Bachet , former director of the Côte Bleue Marine Park

• Nathalie Caune , representative to the Parliament of the Sea and the Maritime Façade Council

  
  

  • This session covered the major issues related to shallow coastal waters , posidonia , anchorage regulations and interactions between tourism and biodiversity .

The main objectives of this training:

• Give each crew member the keys to ecological understanding,

• Promote responsible dialogue with customers and partners in the region (National Parks, French Office for Biodiversity, local institutions, etc.),

• And strengthen our role as a committed player in the transition towards sustainable maritime tourism.

This approach is now an integral part of the integration program at AMC Cape Grace, and is part of our desire to train each season enlightened, responsible crews committed to the future of the Mediterranean.

⛵ Samba takes the stage in Marseille

May was also marked by a highly anticipated event: the arrival of Samba , our new flagship catamaran, at the Old Port of Marseille. Modern, spacious, elegant and triple-powered (sail, electric and thermal), Samba embodies a new generation of eco-responsible vessels .

📆 And in June… the season intensifies!

June promises to be full of new features and events not to be missed, including:

• The arrival of the Mayba ship and the opening of our bases at Marina Baie des Anges and Nice

  From June 6th, set sail for new destinations! Mayba , our brand new hybrid ship, will set sail from Marina Baie des Anges and Nice , with the first group and private outings to the most beautiful spots on the Riviera.

• Participation in the UNOC – World Oceans Conference in Nice

  On June 11 , AMC Cape Grace is engaging in international dialogue on the protection of the seas by hosting a workshop on board Mayba on the theme: “Coastal biodiversity and water sports: what balances should be built?”. A round table conference open to institutional, associative and professional stakeholders, to discuss the issues of tourist numbers, impact on the environment and the transition to more sustainable tourism.
