MORNING DISCOVERY
Discover Marseille in a different way, by sea!
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Departure: Old Port of Marseille
Hours: 9:30am-12:30pm
Duration : 3 hours
Period: May to September
In the morning, depart from Marseille’s Old Port aboard our maxi-catamaran Samba for a smooth and immersive escape, exploring the most spectacular treasures of the Marseille coastline.
As soon as you leave the harbour, the magic begins. The city’s bustle gradually fades away, the Mediterranean stretches out before you, and the coastline reveals its full grandeur. Throughout the journey, your crew guides you with a lively and engaging narrated cruise: maritime stories, local anecdotes and coastal secrets add depth and meaning to the landscapes unfolding before your eyes.
You cruise along the cliffs towards the legendary village of Les Goudes, the last outpost before the Calanques. The scenery is striking: colourful fishermen’s cabins clinging to the rock, white limestone reliefs shaped by the wind, deep blue waters with endless shades… A raw and authentic Marseille, best revealed from the sea.
The navigation continues around Maïre Island, a wild islet marking the entrance to the Calanques National Park. Mineral and unspoilt, surrounded by crystal-clear waters, the island offers an impressive natural spectacle, far from beaten paths and land-based crowds.
The course then sets towards the Frioul Archipelago. This group of islands, with its end-of-the-world feel, reveals hidden coves, ochre cliffs and almost lunar landscapes. Facing you stands the imposing Château d’If, rich in history and legend, made famous by The Count of Monte Cristo.
The catamaran drops anchor facing the islands, in crystal-clear waters. Time slows down. You savour the moment: relaxing on deck, paddleboarding and snorkelling… An aperitif (Planter’s punch) is served on board in a friendly atmosphere, at the heart of an exceptional maritime panorama.
The return navigation towards the Old Port extends the discovery even further. Guided by the crew’s commentary, you take one last look at the city, its forts and its reliefs from a privileged angle. You leave with the feeling of having truly discovered Marseille and its coastline, through a unique sea experience shaped by exceptional panoramas.
